This stackable sterling silver and black onyx tear drop ring is the essence of mystery. Onyx is reputed for aiding wise decision-making, and bringing power and strength to the bearer.
The handcrafted ring is delicate yet speaks volumes on its own. Allow it to do its magic as a centerpiece ring, or jazz it up with some of our other stackable rings; Geirr and Fleinn.
The story behind the name:
Tár meaning tear in Old Norse.
The most handsome and beloved of all gods, and the most invulnerable one, was born to Frigg and Odin. He was named Baldur, and was the god of truth and light.
In spite of his seeming invulnerability, Balder was eventually killed by an innocent mistletoe. The goddess of death, Hel, promised to resurrect him if every living creature shed tears of grief for him. Her promise would have come true, if not the mischievous god Loki had disguised himself as a giantess and was too indifferent to cry.

Sterling silver can tarnish over time. We recommend using a flannel polishing cloth to clean the pieces.
